Seeburg H Solo Orchestrion Volume II [107]

シーバーグのHソロオーケストリオンは
多くのアメリカ人コレクターが最大かつ最高の自動演奏機の一つであると考えています。

このシーバーグHは、1921年頃に製造され、
1977年に当時の所有者であるゴードンリペのために、
レブリッツの修復によって復元されました。
その後1980年に売却され、1983年にサンフィリポコレクションの一部となりました。

これらのCDの作成に使用された元の録音は、
1977年の修復が完了した直後に、リブリッツによって記録されました。
一般的にシーバーグHは、木製の構造で大規模な電気モーターを支えるため、
ノイズが多いことで有名だったので、製造された状態を忠実に保っていれば、
録音できる状態ではなかったと思われます。

しかし1977年の修復の際、非常に正確なチューニングが施され、
通常存在する機械的なノイズすらない、
クリアなサウンドでシーバーグHの音楽を楽しむことができるようになりました。
