ヴィオラノ・ヴァーチュオソはヘンリー・サンデル氏によって発明され、
シカゴ、イリノイ州のミルズノベルティ・カンパニーによって独占的に製造されました。
1906年から1930年にかけて製造され、
20世紀中に最も成功したコイン式自動演奏機械の一つといわれています。

このアルバムは製作に2年もの時間を要しました。
より完璧なサウンドを求めた為に
通常より長い製作期間となったのです。
オーナーの求めるサウンドに近づくためには、
ピアノとオーディオの両方の改善が必要でした。
結果完璧とはいえませんが、最高の状態のサウンドで、
ヴィオラノ・ヴィルトゥオーゾを録音することができたアルバムです。
